All patterns that are provided with the Connected Pattern Maker are copyrighted by Connected Lines and may not be resold or redistributed. The patterns may be used in your private or commercial artistic endeavors provided the result is an artistic interpretation or derivative work, such as produced by embroidery, needlework, intarsia, marquetry, stained glass, engraving, carving, etc.


What platform does the Connected Pattern Maker support?

The Connected Pattern Maker works with all versions of Windows.

Connected Pattern Maker Version 2.9, which is recommended for Windows 7 and Vista, installs the pattern files in the folder:
c:\Users\Public\Patterns

Version 2.8, which is recommended for use with Windows XP, installs the pattern files in the folder:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Connected Lines\Pattern Maker\Patterns

Note: If you are using Connected Pattern Maker 2.8 with Windows Vista or Windows 7 then you will need to change the selected directory for storing temporary files and saved pattern files. To change the Pattern Directory and the Temporary Directory:
  1. Start the Pattern Maker.
  2. From the Options menu, select Display Setup. The Display Options window opens.
  3. Select the Temporary Directory tab. You should see that the Temporary Directory is set to the Pattern Maker folder on the C drive.
  4. Double-click the C:\ folder.
  5. Double-click the folder labeled Users.
  6. Double-click the name of the user running the Pattern Maker.
  7. Double-click Documents.
Now repeat the same process to set the directory in which pattern files are saved.
  1. Select the Pattern Directory tab. You should see that the Pattern Directory is set to the Patterns folder on the C drive.
  2. Double-click the C:\ folder.
  3. Double-click the folder labeled Users.
  4. Double-click the name of the user running the Pattern Maker.
  5. Double-click Documents.
  6. Click OK to save your changes.
